The "Jazz in the Tops" festival takes place on the second weekend in March every year - mark it on your calendar now! The festival takes place rain, hail or shine!

In 2008 the festival runs from 7th to 9th of March.
Friday Night: kick off the jazz at local establishments - different styles of music for all tastes:
* Youth Rock Concert in the CYCC Hall - Tickets $8
* Live Jazz at the Sporting Club
* Live Bands at the "Bottom Pub" and "Top Pub"
Saturday: is the festival highlight kicks off at 1pm in the National Park and continues well into the night. 30km (1hr travel time) from town.
Sunday Morning: continue the festival back in town at Coolah Central School with the 9:00am "Big Jazz Breakfast" followed by Gospel Service at 10:30am.
